Remote Access
When connected to your Z-wave network you know if the garage door has been left open and will be able to open and close your garage door from anywhere. This allows you to never have to worry about your garage door standing open and you can close it remotely even if it is open. -

You can set up the kit to send you email notifications when the door is left open or when it is opened up. You will be notified immediately to ensure that your home is secure and the door is closed. -

To test compatibility with your garage door opener, use a small wire to quickly 'short' the two leads coming from the GDO to the door button. If that opens/closes the door then you're set. If not you'll need to be more creative, so reach out and we'll explain.
For safety, this type of system should only be used with Garage doors that have an electric eye to detect objects blocking the door, and an auto-reverse mechanism. You can confirm if the garage door kit will control your door by quickly shorting the two terminals that connect to your button. If it opens, stops and closes the door, this kit is for you! Don't forget to remove Jumper P5.
